SafeGuard Plus (SG +) for Computers and Office Equipment

We provide both a Service and Replacement Plan for Computer and Office Equipment.  Our  Service and Replacement Plan, known as,  SafeGuard Plus (SG +) provides for the repair or replacement of the covered items resulting from failure due to defects in materials, workmanship or normal wear and tear.   Additional coverage, purchased in addition to SafeGuard Plus (SG +)  is available for failures caused by Accidental Damage.

Items covered by our Service Plan generally are over $300 and include:

  • Computers, Laptops, e-books
  • Monitors
  • Projector Units
  • All-In-One Printers
  • Copiers, scanners

Items covered by our Replacement Plan generally run under $300 and would include:

  • Input devices (wireless keyboards, digital tablets)
  • Internal/External peripherals (Portable Drives)
  • Answering machines, fax machines, printers and all in-ones
  • Calculators, Cash registers
  • Label machines, Laminating machines
  • Memory, Digital Picture Frames
  • Monitors
  • Networking equipment
  • Satellite Radios, Office audio and speakers
  • Electronic Organizers
  • Mobile Devices, GPS Units, Pagers, Cell Phones
  • Scanners, Shredders

Our SafeGuard Plus (SG +) also includes notebook/laptop battery coverage. If the battery fails after six months, the purchaser of the notebook/laptop would be eligible for a onetime replacement of the battery.  The criteria utilized for battery replacement is when the charge has been depleted 60% or more from its original specifications after a full charging.

FEATURES AVAILABLE IN THIS PROGRAM

Surge Protection protects the product from brownouts or spikes.

Onsite Services are available for desktop computers, servers and network printers.

Backup and Recovery Services assist in the recovery of data to a new hard disk in the event of a hard disk crash.

Accessory Coverage includes the replacement of  defective AC adaptors and remote controls.

No Lemon if the product fails  a predetermined number of times (usually implemented as 2 or 3) due to the same part(s) failure during the Plan we replace the product with a new or refurbished product of similar kind and quality.

Delivery service  utilizing our reverse logistic services are covered.  The customer is responsible for securing a suitable shipping box and material for their item.

Shipping Plus  provides the delivery of a special shipping box and packing materials to the customer that is utilized in the delivery of the product to our repair depots.

Depot Drop Off allows customers to get their products to our repair facility eliminating any delays associated with regular pickups or shipping.


Coverage Period
Safeguard Protection Plan Plus for Computer and Office Equipment is available for a period of up to three years from the date of purchase.  The first year of the Plan is covered by the manufacturer.

ADD-ON FEATURES

Accidental Damage can be added to the plan as a separate coverage when combined with the purchase of a base plan.  Accidental damage option is only available for the first year after the manufacturers warranty has ended.

Courier Pickup and Drop-off within the GTA to expedite delivery of the product to our nearest repair depot.  We understand Customers are dependant on their laptops and with this option the time they spend without the unit is lessened.

Trade-In – Trade-Up facilitates an upgrade path for consumers in a prudent and cost efficient manner.
The plan secures a  trade-in value  today so that wthe consumer knows what they'll receive for their device in the future. If the consumer returns the product on time and in good condition  they receive a check or gift card for the buyback amount in the mail.  TwoExtend  ensures the return product  is reused or recycled to protect the environment.

Priority Repair as an add on option can be invoked to reduce the actual in facility repair time on a unit from 72 hours to 48 hours. 

NoteBook/Laptop Battery Replacement facilitates a one time replacement if the battery can be shown to be depleted to a pre-determined standard.

Onsite Services  as an add on option can be invoked to reduce the challenges of having to physically remove any devices from their location.

Theft Tracking as an add-on option provides software to be imbedded into the laptops  operating system to help facilitate tracking of the laptop by Police once it is reconnected to the web.
